Volvo S60 will have new speed-regulating autonomous system

Volvo revealed plans to launch new model which will have autonomous system that will regulate the speed of the vehicle and to keep it away from cars in front of it constantly.

This system is based on radars built in cars and it could be used in Volvo S60 model which will be able to detect pedestrians who eventually step in front of the car and if it is necessary, system will automatically activate braking mechanism and stop the car.

Thomas Broberg, safety expert at Volvo Cars said that their plan is to achieve that in 2020. will no one kill or injured in a Volvo car.

"We've been working on this technology for ten years now. We have had test cars out on the roads for several years and we've driven in many different countries.Factors like traffic scenarious, road conditions and climate were all considered in the design of the final system", said Mr Thomas Broberg.
